1922 Hamilton “Fulton” pocket watch. This watch is made of white gold and for being 100 years old, it still looks and runs like new after clock & watch repair.
Schatz Anniversary antique clock repair. This type of clock requires winding only once a year!
This is a 1937 Hamilton “Carlisle”.
It was made in the art deco style that was popular at the time,
with long slender curves. It’s curved to fit the wrist too and is very comfortable to wear.
Beautiful grandfather clock, antique clock repair. This Sligh 12-hammer, 7-day grandfather clock plays Beethoven’s 5th Symphony, Ave Maria, or Westminster music on the hour.
Revere Telechron mantel clock. This is kind of a hybrid between a windup and electric clock. It was made right when electricity was getting more common in homes and clock companies started taking advantage of that. It was made by arguably the best clock company of all time and instead of having springs you wind up to power the clock, it has one electric motor and a transmission that runs everything. Very delicate antique clock repair!
Hamilton 992 Railroad conductor’s watch. The railroads had strict requirements of the watches they used and this watch was one of Hamilton’s pinnacle designs. They had to be super accurate and durable.
This watch was made in 1934.
Ansonia Steeple Clock. It’s called a steeple clock because the top resembles a church roof.
This is a 1935 Hamilton “Mason”. They only made this watch for one year, producing right around 10,000 of them, so they’re rather rare. This one has a luminous dial, which makes it even more scarce.
Antique clock repair of Seth Thomas 8-day miniature wall clock with two drawers. Most clocks of this type only have one drawer.
New Haven “Dollar Watch”. Several clock companies made watches as well, and this company made more affordable ones. This watch really only cost $1 when it was new and while it’s not elegant, it’s functional and tough. This one actually belonged to my great grandfather.
He lived from 1892 to 1975.
Cuckoo wall clock antique clock repair. This 3-weight 1-day cuckoo clock has a music box that runs after the cuckoo comes out. The people at the top dance.
Elgin pocket watch antique clock repair. Elgin was another very good American watch company along with Hamilton and Waltham. No other company to this day can match their quality, not even Rolex. Contrary to popular believe, Swiss watches are inferior to antique American watches. The only reason the Swiss have the reputation they do, is because they lied about how good their watches were and outproduced the American companies.
Hamilton, Elgin, and Waltham put everything they had into their watches, making the best product they could, while the Swiss didn’t care. I’ve seen Rolexes straight from the factory with bent and/or misaligned parts because their quality control pales in comparison to the American companies. This watch was made in Elgin, Illinois.
